Quick guitar lessons in Elk Grove

If you have always wanted to learn how to play the guitar, but were never able to find the time for lessons, you will want to mark down Nov. 7, from 2:30-5 p.m. on your calendar. That's when the Elk Grove Park District has arranged for Mark Jacus to teach his popular Instant Guitar for Hopelessly Busy Adults.

This one-time, two and one half hour class will teach you to play chords on the guitar so you can start playing your favorite songs right away.

If you have wanted to learn the guitar but the time and money involved in private lessons has kept you away, Mark Jacus's class is for you. The easy to understand instruction book and DVD used in class enable you to keep practicing at home.

In class, Mark Jacus also discusses some of the common mistakes people make and the hurdles that prevent them from learning the guitar.

You don't need to know anything about music or the guitar to attend this class. Instant Guitar for Hopelessly Busy Adults is designed for the absolute beginner and the emphasis is on fun, not technical perfection.

For more information or to register for the class, call the Elk Grove Park District at (847) 690-1184. Be sure to bring your acoustic guitar.
