John Dietz's fantasy focus

Week 6 superstar

Welcome back, Mr. Tom Brady. He had 6 lovely touchdowns, 5 of which came in a bunch in the second quarter against the hapless Titans. Brady threw for 380 yards, his highest total since Week 14 of the 2007 season. Fantasy owners, many of whom probably won their games just by having Brady on their team, have been waiting for a performance like this since the season began.

Week 6 weakling

Terrell Owens (3-13) was awful, and Eli Manning (178 yards, TD, 2 turnovers) wasn't much better. But how about Carolina WR Steve Smith? One catch for 4 yards against a bad Tampa Bay defense? Inexcuseable. Smith's stock is dropping fast as he has just 10 catches for 107 yards the last three weeks.
