Burlington Central 2nd at BNC meet

Burlington Central's Maggie Gannon placed second and teammate Markelle Turk was fifth Saturday, leading the Rockets to a second-place finish at the Big Northern Conference meet.

Gannon ran the 2.85-mile course in 17:08 while Turk clocked a 17:38.4. Katie Puccio finished 13th for the Rockets to earn all-conference honors as well.

Hampshire's Cassie Kruse took third place and the Whip-Purs' Holly Plichta was seventh as each earned all-conference honors as well.
