Last year St. Charles North 35, South Elgin 24

Last week St. Charles North 31, Neuqua Valley 5; Lake Park 20, South Elgin 15

Outlook St. Charles North is still in the running for the Upstate Eight Conference title, trailing Lake Park and St. Charles East by a game. South Elgin can keep its slim chances of a conference title alive with a win, but the Storm would need lots of help to tie for the title with 2 losses. The far bigger concern for South Elgin is gaining a sixth win to guarantee the school's first playoff appearance, though that should be a fait accompli considering the Storm have 41 playoff points already. South Elgin will finish the regular season next week at Larkin (4-3). "Winning these last two would be really good," South Elgin coach Dale Schabert said. "Watching (St. Charles North) on film, they're probably the toughest test we've had. They're a good football team. We're looking forward to the game. It'll be Senior Night for us. For our kids to have a victory in their last regular-season home game would be great." By record, South Elgin is the best team St. Charles North has faced. The North Stars have played only two teams with winning records this season: Waubonsie Valley (4-3) and Larkin.
