Driver charged in fatal Park Ridge crash

A Chicago man was charged with aggravated DUI Tuesday after a fatal crash that killed two people Sunday in Park Ridge, police said.

Ibrahim Y. Yaro, 34, of the 6000 block of North Seely, was charged Tuesday in the two-car crash that occurred at 2:10 a.m. Sunday at Oakton Street and Riverside Drive.

Younan Chalabi, 37, of Des Plaines, and Christine Merza, 35, of Morton Grove, who were riding in the same vehicle, were pronounced dead at a hospital. The Cook County medical examiner's office ruled the deaths accidental from multiple injuries, officials said.

Yaro and three other people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
