Who's already in line for state construction money
SPRINGFIELD - The Daily Herald recently requested to go over the paperwork that 40 local school districts filed in recent years seeking state construction help. In some cases, the requests were detailed; in others, vague and incomplete.
Below are summaries compiled after inspecting Illinois State Board of Education records. Keep in mind these are all old requests and in several cases, the districts went ahead and did the construction using local funds. Now, however, the schools may be eligible for state assistance even though the projects are finished.
