Missing East Aurora High teen found

A runaway teen was found at a relative's house in Aurora around 3:30 p.m. Monday, police said.

Relatives notified the mother of Crystal Moore, 16, that she showed up at the house Monday, police said. Moore was reported missing about 8 p.m. Friday when she didn't come home from East Aurora High School. Over the weekend, police received information indicating the teen ran away and remains safe.

"The mom has received a ton of phone calls, some from people saying she's OK but not providing other details," Kane County Sheriff's Lt. Pat Gengler said.

On Saturday, investigators searched a Kane County residence where they were told the teen may be hiding but it turned up empty.

Gengler said Monday that detectives continue to investigate where she has been for the past few days, but it appears she was not a victim of foul play.
