Qatar Airways: We're fine with Boeing's 787
Qatar Airways said it has resolved outstanding issues with Boeing Co. over an order for 30 787 Dreamliner planes and that it expects to take delivery of the aircraft in the second half of 2011.
Chief Executive Officer Akbar al-Baker said he's confident that the 787 will fly for the first time before the end of this year and that the model will enter full production during the early part of next year.
Qatar Airways had "commercial and technical issues" with the delayed aircraft, he said in an interview without providing details.
