Durbin vote proves his partisan position
To The Hon. Sen. Dick Durbin,
Regarding your vote to support funding to ACORN and the July 20 report from U.S. House of Representatives, "On ACORN" by Darrell Issa.
Have you read this report? If so, please explain to me why you voted in favor to support public funding for ACORN? This is my tax money that you are playing with. As a constituent that lives in the state of Illinois I demand a full explanation of your actions regarding the ACORN vote.
This type of partisan politics must stop you were elected by the people and for the people, not a partisan ideology. The people of America must now stand up and be heard. I have never taken an activist position, I have always been silent. But you, sir, and this administration has awakened a sleeping dog and I will begin to let my voice be heard as often as possible.
We need to amend the constitution to have term limits for all government officials serving in elected position more so than ever before. I say this for both sides of the aisle. I believe that is the only way we can stop these ideological blind spots and move from partisan politics to seeking to do what's best for our country and not each other's party.
