DuPage reaction to Obama Peace Prize

"I think he's doing a lot to bring peace to the world. I just think that everything he's trying to do for the country and the world is where we need to be going."

- Jennifer Hoover, 37, of Naperville, who voted for Obama

"It's exciting. We were just talking about how it's interesting for a president to receive the Nobel Peace Prize in the hope of what he's going to accomplish, rather than what he's accomplished (already)."

- Kevin McCarthy, 24, of Naperville, who voted for Obama

"I was shocked by the news, but I think it's a great honor for him. He appears to be sincere and is making a lot of effort. I think he needs a lot of prayer. We need to pray for him and all the politicians so they make wise choices."

- Connie Hill, 43, of Bolingbrook, voted for Obama

"I think it's a good thing. I think he could use this to move forward on some programs he'd like to implement and for the rest of his term show he's worthy of the prize."

- Ken Stec, 64, of Indian Head Park (baby-sitting in Wheaton), voted for Obama
