Laws should be written to be read
I believe it's time to contact our senators and congressmen and demand that they write bills in plain English so that we, the American people, can understand what has been written in these bills. It's time for transparency and accountability for what is written into these bills. We all know that the majority of these bills are loaded with special interest items and that the original bill becomes meaningless.
To our representatives - we, the American people, have voted you into office to do our bidding and help represent our goals. If you cannot do this on our behalf, we can vote you out of office. So we ask, when these bills are written, they are done in a concise and comprehensible way so we the American public can read them. After all, you don't.
