Friends of the Forest Preserves hosts fundraiser Oct. 10

Support Friends of the Forest Preserves as it hosts its signature event and fundraiser "Ignite the Night" from 5-10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, outside, behind the riding center at 361 Bateman Road, in Barrington Hills.

The family friendly event includes dancing and music under the stars to Dave Anderson's band and The I-Lites; narrated horse drawn wagon rides through the forest preserve; live rescue animals from the Cook County Forest Preserve; Adler Planetarium telescopes and education; a grilled dinner with wine, beer and pop; flash light educational tours; and a raffle with all kinds of items including trips, art, camping and sports items. The evening will culminate with a bonfire.

Support Friends of the Forest Preserves thanks Barrington Countryside Park District and The Riding Club of Barrington Hills for their help in sponsoring the event.

The party is on rain or shine and will move to the indoor arena if the weather doesn't cooperate. Get your tickets now at FOTFP.org, or call (312) 356-9990.
