Jeff Jordan talking with Illini about possible comeback
CHAMPAIGN -- Four months after he hung up his Air Jordans at Illinois, guard Jeff Jordan is talking to coaches about coming back.
Michael Jordan's oldest son left the team in June after playing for two seasons. He said then that he wanted to focus on school.
Illinois spokesman Derrick Burson confirmed Thursday that Jeff Jordan recently has met with assistant coaches about a possible return. But Burson says Jordan hasn't yet met with head coach Bruce Weber and that talks are early.
Jordan walked on at Illinois before winning a scholarship last year. Weber had said he could win serious playing time this season.
Jordan wrote last month on his Twitter feed that he wanted to work out with his former team "like old times."
