Arlington Hts. businesses invited to economic breakfast

Business and community leaders are invited to a breakfast meeting Oct. 14, sponsored by the Arlington Economic Alliance, which will focus on strategies for small businesses and getting village businesses connected through the Village's Discover Arlington Web site.

The session will be held 7:30-9:30 a.m. in the Community Room of Village Hall, 33 S. Arlington Heights Road. The Community Room is on the third floor of Village Hall; park on the top level of the Municipal Park Garage.

Bob Paul, a guest speaker with the Service Corps of Retired Executives will discuss the formation, growth and success of small businesses. The second speaker, Jackie Methling, will discuss the new Discover Arlington Web site and explain the value in having local businesses connected through its virtual business directory. Methling is from American Eagle Inc. and was involved in the development of the Village of Arlington Heights' Web site and many others.

Both speakers will take questions. A workshop will help business members at the breakfast load their information onto the Discover Arlington site.
