John Dietz's fantasy focus

Week 4 superstar

We're not giving this to one player but rather to the entire 49ers defense and special teams. Astute fantasy owners who picked up San Francisco this week were treated to a performance that likely won many fantasy games all by itself - 5 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries, 1 interception and not 1, not 2 but 3 touchdowns against the hapless Rams. Oh, and for good measure, Mike Singletary's team pitched the franchise's first shutout since 2002. Bonzai!

Week 4 weakling

On some level, Drew Brees (190 yards), Tony Romo (255 yards, 2 turnovers) or Marshawn Lynch (4 rushing yards, 43 receiving) probably deserve this award. But the slam-dunk winner has to be Oakland running back Darren McFadden. Going up against the worst run defense in the entire league, McFadden had minus-3 yards on 6 carries and 5 yards on 1 reception. Have fun warming our benches, Mr. McFadden.
