Trustee Stone does not speak for us all

Mrs. Stone, please do the citizens of Buffalo Grove a favor and resign before the recall. Please do not make us suffer through another 4-5 months.

It is very clear that you do not have the capacity to understand not only how government works, but even the mechanics of participating at a meeting. You do not know what is on the agenda. You do not know how to speak without rambling. You do not even know how to cast a simple yes or no vote.

You have accused everyone of being wrong and unethical. You have insinuated that the police chief is a liar. You have insinuated that the village attorney is a liar. You constantly contradict yourself, such as when you placed a motion on the floor, and when the vote was called, you voted against your own motion.

You accuse other board members of having their minds made up about the OTB before the meeting. It was quite apparent that you were the one with your mind made up and not willing to listen to both sides. You interrupted those who were speaking in opposition to you and sat and clapped when someone agreed with you.

I would guess that the majority of residents do not have strong feelings one way or the other about the OTB. I was recently there and did not notice any gangs, drugs or people committing suicide.

I find it interesting that when you make a mistake (i.e. campaign financing) it is merely a clerical error, but if anyone else makes a mistake, you accuse them of criminal acts.

You have maligned the integrity of other board members and staff members. Many of these people have been associated with Buffalo Grove for over 30 years. THEY are the people who helped make Buffalo Grove what it is today.

Finally, regarding the issue of Bruce Kahn. Do you really think this man has nothing better to do than lurk in the bushes outside your home waiting to attack you?

Please stop thinking you are speaking for the majority of the people of Buffalo Grove.
