Illinois needs a wake-up call
The legal abuses fostered by ACORN during the primaries, the general election, and since the election, have now reached a point where they can no longer be ignored by the American people and the liberal media.
Their motivation is clear and obvious to everyone with the exception of both Illinois senators and ABC News anchor Charlie Gibson, whose reasoning defies reality.
If it is not embarrassing enough for us to deal with the pathetic politics of Chicago, Cook County, and the state of Illinois, we have to be further embarrassed that our two senators voted against the majority of intelligent senators that chose to deny further federal funding to ACORN by a vote of 83 to 7.
Isn't it wonderful that we privileged residents of Illinois have two of the most clueless senators in the nation? But where is the media in responsible reporting?
The traditional networks are pathetic remnants of Huntley and Brinkley, Walter Cronkite, and Tom Brokaw who knew how to present the news rather than trying to create the news. Today it seems like rather than reporting the news, reporters choose to make or create or ignore the news.
What more of a wake-up call do the citizens of Chicago, Cook County, and Illinois need to realize that their representatives are totally out of touch with the rest of the world? Seems like Illinois is way overdue for a very cold shower.
