Support civil debate, don't print lies

The Daily Herald continues to print letters about so-called death panels, an idea so absurd it has been debunked by almost everyone. The Herald also has printed letters comparing the Democratic leadership to Hitler and the Nazis.

My question is this: Who is picking these letters, and how do they still have a job?

There is always room for debate in this country, but newspapers have editors for a reason, and the Opinion Page Editors should encourage civil debate, not give face time to liars and name callers. Lets do a better job editing out the fringe and instead use the Fence Post as a sounding board for intelligent ideas and discussion.
