Maine West alumni band plays halftime show Oct. 9
This year marks Maine West High School's 50th anniversary, and one group celebrating their tradition of excellence is the Maine West Marching Warriors.
The band has invited band alumni from the last 50 years to play one song in the Homecoming halftime show 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9.
The halftime show highlights hit songs from 1959, 1984, and 2009, with the alumni band invited to perform on the 1959 Ray Charles' classic, "What'd I Say."
Practice for the alumni band will be held at the Maine West Stadium from 5-6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, but participants needed to have signed up by Oct. 2.
