Downstate woman accused of soliciting teen
WATERLOO -- A southwestern Illinois woman is accused by federal prosecutors in Missouri of soliciting a 13-year-old boy for sex.
Thirty-eight-year-old Christie Bradley of Waterloo is charged with second-degree statutory rape. Investigators and court documents allege Bradley sent sexually explicit messages to the boy in Arnold, Mo. The boy reported the messages to police.
A federal agent then posed as the boy and continued the contact over two days late last month.
Court papers allege Bradley told the boy she was in love with him and planned to marry him when he graduated.
Bradley's home telephone number has been disconnected. It was not immediately clear if she had an attorney.
