Three Career Nights on tap in Dist. 214

Northwest Suburban High School District 214 will host three Career Nights in October and November, where each night will focus on different career areas, highlighting professions in each category.

Representatives from businesses and industries will give students and parents information to help them plan for the future.

The selection of presenters is determined by a student survey done in the spring. Top areas of interest are chosen and speakers are invited to informally talk with students. Attending Career Night may also help open the door to enrollment in the district Internship Program, as well as the Education and Medical academies.

• Careers in Arts & Communication/Human Services will be held Oct. 14 at Rolling Meadows High School.

• Careers in Health & Natural Resources will be held Oct. 29 at Prospect High School.

• Careers in Engineering/Industrial Technology/Business & Computers, will be held Nov. 12 at John Hersey High School.

All events begin at 7 p.m. with registration at 6:30 p.m. There will be two breakout sessions and a networking session and each program will conclude at 9 p.m.
