Robinson: hosting games 'tremendous honor'

COPENHAGEN -- It would be a "tremendous honor" to host the world if Chicago got the 2016 Olympics, original Dream Teamer David Robinson says.

Chicago is in a tight contest with Madrid, Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo to host the 2016 games, and there's just one day left before the International Olympic Committee makes its choice.

Appearing Thursday morning with the rest of the athletes who have come to support Chicago's bid, Robinson says sport brings people together like nothing he's ever seen. For 17 days, political and cultural differences are put aside to watch the world's best athletes play.

The Olympics are "so pure, so sweet," Robinson says, and Chicago -- make that the entire United States -- would be honored to be its host.
