COD receives literacy grant:

The Illinois Community College Board recently awarded the College of DuPage a $1.3 million literacy grant. The funds will improve opportunities for adults who want to earn their GED, develop basic reading and math skills or learn English as a second language. The adult education and ESL program at COD is the largest literary provider in the county with roughly 7,350 students at 31 locations. Partnerships with area school districts are maintained with the grant funds, COD officials said. For more information about COD adult education programs, call (630) 942-3697.
