Auditions set for 'Charlie Brown'

Auditions for the Fox Valley Park District's Winter Stage production of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Prisco Community Center in Aurora.

All aspiring actors and actresses in third through 12th grade are welcome to audition for a part in this fast-paced, lighthearted musical that will reunite audiences with the beloved "Peanuts" comic strip by Charles Schulz.

Each participant is required to bring one prepared song to audition and a nonreturnable head shot, such as a school photo, marked with name, age, address and phone number on the back.

The family-friendly production takes audiences through the trials and tribulations of Charlie Brown, who finally realizes - through the help and encouragement of his friends - that he is a "good man." Children will feel a connection to the characters and Charlie Brown's struggles; adults will recollect the magic of childhood.

Rehearsal schedules will be available at auditions. Stage performances will be Jan. 22-24 at the Prisco Community Center, 150 W. Illinois Ave. in Aurora. For more information, call (630) 859-8606.
