It might have gotten tougher, Scott Fawell

To Scott Fawell, I would like to ask: As you were finishing your letter, did you not see the crushing irony when you wrote the sentence "... to let those in power know that abuses of power of any kind on anyone won't be tolerated."?

The fact that you didn't stop right there and realize that your letter was without merit and brimming with hypocrisy makes me believe you must be delusional. That often happens with those in power.

Why don't you write a new letter to the Daily Herald and explain what you think you might be doing today had you not been caught? Committing even more egregious abuses at even higher levels of power, perhaps?

Nobody just stops that stuff on their own, Scott. You'd have gotten worse and worse and would have caused greater harm to the people of Illinois - and think of how hard they'd have come down on you then. Maybe instead of complaining about how tough it is in the big leagues, you should thank the prosecutors for stopping you when they did.
