Man accused of leaking grand jury information
HARRISBURG -- A man who served on a southern Illinois grand jury is accused of leaking sealed information from the secret proceedings.
Twenty-eight-year-old Rocky Dunning of Eldorado is charged in Saline County with indirect criminal contempt.
Prosecutor Mike Henshaw says Dunning was seated on a grand jury early this month when sealed indictments were returned against 10 people for various drug charges.
Henshaw contends Dunning told a friend about one of the defendants named in the indictments and that friend warned the defendant.
Dunning couldn't be reached for comment. He doesn't have a listed home telephone number, and it's unclear if he has an attorney.
He's scheduled for a hearing Nov. 4.
