Thanks for help with strategic plan
For the past few months, the Naperville Park District has been working on the development of a new organizational strategic plan. This process has involved the participation of many key stakeholders representing community-based organizations, and we're grateful for their help. Before the process began, the district recognized that a document as crucial as a strategic plan required the input of community organizations to provide unique perspectives and insight with regard to the district's mission, goals and future direction.
We are pleased to recognize and thank the following organizations for their participation in the process: city of Naperville, DuPage and Will counties forest preserve districts, Galaxy Soccer Club, Indian Prairie Unit District 204, Naperville Area Homeowners Confederation, Naperville Chamber of Commerce, Naperville Unit District 203, Naperville Development Partnership, Naperville Little League, North Central College, St. Raphael Football, The Conservation Foundation, Western DuPage Special Recreation Association, Wheatland Athletic Association and at-large community representatives, Doug Dallmer and Mark Menis.
Next steps in the strategic plan development process will include gathering staff input and creating the document itself. The goal of the strategic plan will be to serve as a living document to drive the district to achieve its goals and initiatives in line with its mission and vision. The plan also will assist the Park Board in setting annual goals for the executive director. Once a draft of the plan has been created later this fall, it will be made available to the public for review and comment.
Again, we thank everyone who has been a part of this process to date and look forward to additional input and feedback in the coming weeks as move toward the introduction of a new strategic plan for the Naperville Park District.
