Last week Woodstock d. Huntley, 27-24; Grayslake Central d. Jacobs, 20-0.

Outlook Grayslake Central's much-improved defense is coming off its second shutout in three games. Rams safety/outside linebacker Kevin Hein had a big effort against Jacobs, registering 2 tackles for loss and 91/2 total. Prior to this season, the Rams hadn't pitched a shutout since 2003. Grayslake Central and Woodstock have played one common opponent so far: Grayslake North. Grayslake Central shut out Grayslake North, 27-0, while Woodstock beat the Knights, 13-3. ... A pattern ends tonight for one of these teams, as both have opened the season with a loss, followed by a win, followed by a loss, followed by a win.
