Couple grateful for firefighters' concern

The paramedics and fire protection people at the Ela and Palatine Road station are true professionals.

They not only know their craft well but are also comforting and kind. They are able to handle all trauma, both physical and emotional.

My wife and I live across the street from the station and as we are quite active maintaining our home, they are always watching us, checking up to see how we are doing.

What gripes us most are people telling us "your property value will go down," because of our proximity to the station. What better thing than to have lifesavers across the street during our "golden years."

We feel we have angels on our shoulders during the day and angels on our pillows during the night.

A deep bow of appreciation to the station from me, my wife, Joan, and our children.
