VFW Auxiliary plans Penny Social fundraiser in West Dundee

The Carpentersville Ladies Auxiliary to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5915 will hold its annual Penny Social on Wednesday, Sept. 23, at the Tri-City Evergreen VFW Post, 117 S. First St., West Dundee.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and numbers will be called beginning at 7 p.m.

The Penny Social is the auxiliary's largest fundraiser of the year. The proceeds help to further the organizations' goals such as donating to the local police department, fire department, Little League, Boys and Girls Club, homeless, Crisis Center, Cancer Society Society, flags to schools, different scholarship programs and more. The evening will include table prizes and door prizes and refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome.

The Ladies Auxiliary is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the veterans and the community.
