St. Charles woman admits guilt on pot charges

A St. Charles woman accused of selling a quarter-pound of marijuana to an undercover police officer pleaded guilty this week, according to court officials.

Charity R. Sund, 36, of the 1900 block of Wessel Court, pleaded guilty Monday to one count of marijuana delivery between 30 and 500 grams. Prosecutors decided not to pursue four additional charges against her.

Sund was sentenced to 24 months probation, and has to wear an electronic home monitoring device, according to the plea agreement.

The North Central Narcotics Task Force said Sund sold drugs to officers several times. She was arrested doing so in a business parking lot along Randall Road in South Elgin, according to police.
