St. Charles man accused of assaulting mentally disabled woman

A 41-year-old St. Charles man has been charged with sexually abusing and sexually assaulting a mentally disabled woman, police said.
St. Charles Police announced charges Friday morning against Frederick L. Wallace, of the 1300 block of Prairie Street. He was arrested early Friday at his place of employment in North Aurora.
The charges are the result of a two-week investigation. Police say one of the incidents happened Sept. 4, and another occurred in August.
The woman, 25, has the IQ of a 7-year-old, police said. The Kane County Child Advocacy Center aided the investigation.
Wallace was being held Friday in the Kane County jail on $400,000 bond. He needs to post $40,000 to be released.
