Opposition to new speed limit doesn't make sense

In reply to AAA Chicago Regional President Mr. Brad Roeber's letter decrying the state's decision to allow semis to go 65 mph on our highways ... you should get out more. The trucks are already going 65 mph but then the cars are going 75 and 80 mph, so there is still a difference in the speeds. All the other states that have the same speeds for trucks don't seem to have a problem.

I'm a retired truck driver with more than 2 million miles driven, so I do know what I'm talking about. I drive my pickup on the toll roads and I go the speed limit and I'm thinking, "I should have a slow moving vehicle sign on my truck."
