Consider the issues of life and death
On the issue of Health Care reform there has been much rhetoric on whether we should support the president's plan for change in how we administer health care. While our present system is far from perfect, or even adequate for all Americans, I have serious reservations about Mr. Obama's plan.
It has all the earmarks of following the footsteps of the original abortion law, which permitted abortions only in the most serious and life-threatening circumstances. As we have seen, that practice is not even a matter for discussion in our day when one can obtain an abortion merely by showing up at a clinic.
A society which legally permits babies to be destroyed in the womb for any reason, would have little qualms about putting an end to the elderly when life becomes burdensome. Personally speaking, Mr. Obama's "heath-care" plan sounds more threatening than healing.
