D300 shouldn't have played Obama speech

When District 300 Superintendent Ken Arndt recently complained about parents being concerned about President Obama's school time address, he forgets that our children are in his schools to learn.

All residents pay dearly for to educate these children. Do taxpayers get a refund for the time wasted by this speech? Arndt needs to remember that taxpayers pay his salary and his gold plated pension.

Teach the students first and make political statements on someone else's dime, Superintendent Arndt.
