Former Elk Grove man charged with making porn video with 8-year-old girl

A 44-year-old man was charged in federal court with making a pornographic video with an 8-year-old girl 12 years ago at what was then his home in Elk Grove Village, authorities said Wednesday.

Donald Anderson has been in state custody since 2007, when a raid on his Park Forest home in a child-abuse investigation turned up thousands of images and hundreds of videos involving child pornography, authorities said.

One of the videos allegedly showed Anderson engaged in sex with a girl. Federal agents interviewed the 19-year-old woman believed to be the child in that video last year. She said she was 8 years old when the video was made in January 1997.

The office of U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald charged Anderson with manufacturing and possession of child pornography. If found guilty of the manufacturing charge, Anderson would be sentenced to at least 15 years and as much as 30 years in prison, and the possession charge could yield a maximum of 10 more years. Each count carried a maximum fine of $250,000.

Anderson is currently serving a 16-year sentence for predatory criminal sexual assault, a Class X felony, for having a sexual relationship with a 12-year-old girl.
