Scouting: Christian Liberty @ Kirkland
Christian Liberty (0-3, 0-3) at Kirkland Hiawatha (0-3, 0-3)
When 7 p.m. Friday
Last week Christian Liberty lost to CICS-Longwood 42-0; Kirkland Hiawatha lost to Rockford Christian 49-14
Outlook Both teams opened with opponents a combined 8-1 and have two common opponents - Hiawatha lost to Alden-Hebron 10-3 and Hope Academy 20-14. Christian Liberty hopes to start seeing dividends from the tough early tests sooner of later. "If it doesn't pay off for this year it will pay off next year and the year after that," said Christian Liberty coach Jim Kaulkins. "It's all a win-win as long as we stay healthy." That's a concern with a small roster but Kaulkins hoped two-way lineman Dan Calloway could go after hurting his right ankle and missing the second half last week. Linemen Jon Sherwell and Emilio Mondragon were also out injured last week.
