Funeral held for former Blagojevich fundraiser Christopher Kelly

The funeral for ousted Gov. Rod Blagojevich's chief fundraiser has ended in southwest suburban Western Springs.

Blagojevich, his wife and their two daughters attended the services for 51-year-old Christopher Kelly on Wednesday.

Kelly died Saturday of what authorities say was a suspected overdose. His death came less than a week before he was due to enter prison to begin serving a three-year sentence for tax fraud.

After the service, pallbearers carried Kelly's casket from St. John of The Cross Catholic Church to a waiting hearse.

The Blagojevich family stood outside the church after the service, talking with mourners. The former governor didn't speak to reporters.

The Blagojeviches weren't part of a 14-car funeral procession that left the church.
