Let's bring our companies back
We have all watched how our politicians have destroyed jobs over the last 40 years with the overtaxing and overregulating of our industries - watching jobs and companies go overseas because of lower overhead cost. However, those items manufactured in China are sold in this country as if they were actually produced in the good old USA.
Because import taxes and other revenues are added to those products a pair of shoes produced in China for $15 is sold here for $75 to $100.
With all that said, why is it that our government cannot be creative enough to bring those companies back to this country? How about reviewing those outdated regulations and seeing where chances could be made to encourage the return of those same companies. Instead of raising taxes, how about lowering them to make it easier for companies to make a profit and, in the long run, hire people.
Why are these same politicians coming up with more ridiculous laws that is virtually killing our ability to be an industrial leader?
It's all about power. Relying on our government is the worst thing this country can do if we ever hope to advance our economy. Look at education, Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, the post office, all government-run failures. Now they want to run our health care?
No, they don't want to run these things. They want to run us. They are so smart about everything that they feel that they, and only they, know what's good for you and me. They are so stupid that they, and only they, got us to where we are today. How could you trust them with anything? Especially your health care.
