Woman and man killed in Kendall County

Kendall County authorities say a domestic dispute apparently led to the deaths of a couple who lived in a condominium in an unincorporated area near Oswego.

Kendall County Coroner Ken Toftoy says police found the body of 28-year-old beautician Kari Clawson on the floor of the condo's kitchen.

The Kendall County Sheriff's office said a man, believed to be her live-in boyfriend, apparently fatally wounded Clawson, and then called his mother, threatening suicide. The mother then called 911, and sheriff's deputies said they heard a gunshot as they entered the unit. They found the man lying on the bedroom floor with a bullet wound to the head.

The man, who later died at an Aurora hospital, had not been publicly identified Tuesday evening.
