Abbott Lab tops Business Week's best place to start a career list

College grads looking for a health care career might want to consider Abbott Laboratories.

That's according to Business Week magazine's 2009 list of best places to launch a career. The North Chicago-based company is the top-ranked health-care firm on this year's list. It's 13th overall out of 69 companies on the list.

The magazine's annual list is based on a poll of college career service directors.

Other area companies on this year's list include Hyatt hotels, ranking 27th; Boeing, ranked 30th; Walgreen, ranked 52nd; and Sears, ranked 64th.
