Health care reform and Ted Kennedy

With the passing of Senator Edward Kennedy, Congress looks like it's trying to get some momentum going to name the health care reform after him.

That way, because this was his life work, they may garner some sympathy from Congressmen and maybe even some of their constituents. Personally, I think it is a good idea to rename the plan after him. I think there are still enough people around to remember the care he administered to one of his brother's aides back in 1969 when he accidentally went off a bridge on the island of Chappaquiddick in Massachusetts off Martha's Vineyard.

They might remember the care he administered Mary Jo Kopechne while she drowned in his car after he left the scene, too distraught to help, saying he tried repeatedly to dive down and save her. She may have lived up to two hours inside that car before drowning.

Senator Kennedy did not even report the incident until the next day, almost 12 hours later. Yes, please name the health care reform after Senator Kennedy because that will be fitting as to how the government will treat the honest, hardworking people of this great country.
