St. Charles

• Jose Laloro Guerrero-Ramirez, 29, of the 100 block of South 18th Street, was charged Aug. 1 with battery, according to a police report. Police were called to the scene of a birthday party for Guerrero-Ramirez after the mother of a 15-year-old girl became upset when Guerrero-Ramirez allegedly grabbed the girl by the waist, pulled her into the front of his body and grabbed the teen's buttocks.

• Valdas Lukosius, 47, of the 1800 block of South Washington Street in Naperville, was charged July 21 with deceptive practice for an incident dating back to April 18, 2009, according to police. The police report indicates Lukosius purchased a barbecue grill from a local business for $1,313 with a check in the name of Romualdas Girniukaitis.

• Someone scratched up every body panel on a 2007 Dodge Charger while it was parked in the driveway of a home on the 1900 block of Walnut Street Aug. 11, according to police reports. The estimated cost of repairing the damage is $2,000.

• Lesly Mata, 18, of the 500 block of Concord Avenue in South Elgin, was charged Aug. 24 with retail theft, according to a police report. Store security at Von Maur, 3810 E. Main St., said they found Mata leaving the store with various items of clothing that she did not purchase. Among the items was a hoodie, a vest and two shirts.

Kane County

• Melissa A. Magers, 25, of the 2S400 block of West County Line Road, Maple Park, was arrested at 1:55 a.m. Friday and charged with marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia in a traffic stop at West County Line and Harter roads in Kaneville Township, police said.

• A set of Odyssey golf clubs valued at $1,752 was reported stolen Thursday out of a garage on the 0-99 block of Yorkshire Court, Sugar Grove Township, according to police.

South Elgin

• Patrick M. Sullivan, 24, of the 39W900 block of Deer Run Drive, St. Charles, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of drugs, no front license plate, tinted windows and possession of drug paraphernalia at 1:02 a.m. Aug. 29 after a traffic stop at McLean Boulevard and Sundown Road, reports said.

• Ruben Fernandez, 17, of the 300 block of Anna Street, and Michael J. Gonzalez, 17, of the 200 block of Watch Street, Elgin, were arrested and charged with felony burglary and misdemeanor theft at 1:29 a.m. Monday after police spotted them walking at State and Water streets with bulges in their pockets, a report said. Police found Fernandez with a $400 GPS device and Gonzalez with a $200 wireless phone and an I-PASS, reports said. All items were determined to be removed from parked cars, reports said.
