Obama playing the ultimate shell game
If you ever watch those street corner guys doing shell games, they always try to distract you at the critical time so you lose track of the prize. See if you can see a similarity between what the street corner cons are doing and what the Obama administration is currently doing. On a Friday at 5 p.m., the Obama administration admitted that it had underestimated the national debt by 28 percent, or $2 trillion dollars. A trillion dollars is so massive that it is hard to get your arms around so think of it this way, they were wrong by $2,000 billion!
They chose Friday at 5 p.m. to announce their error because that is the slow time for the news and it would get lost over the weekend. Then on the following Monday morning, they announced that a special prosecutor would be assigned to prosecute Bush-era torture against terrorists. And they announced that they were going to take terrorist interrogation away from the CIA and put it under the FBI, which puts it more under Obama's control. Of course that made the front page news for the day, not the $2 trillion budget error the previous Friday afternoon. Obama's hope is that the past hatred for President Bush will divert the public's attention from the massive debt and damage that Obama and the Democratic Congress are creating for our economy. And they want to run our health care?
Stay focused folks, the stakes are enormous. Don't fall for the shell game.
