SPRINGFIELD -- Authorities in Springfield have issued warrants for three drivers and a tavern owner in an Aug. 25 fatal hit-and-run.
Thursday's warrants charge 43-year-old Timothy A. Dunbar of Springfield with drunken driving and obstructing justice. They charge 23-year-old Timothy S. Ladage of Springfield and 28-year-old James A. Hoke of Auburn with aggravated leaving the scene of an accident.
The owner of Bootleggers Lounge, 56-year-old Paul F. Moriconi of Springfield, is charged with obstructing justice, concealing a fugitive and aiding a fugitive.
Police say 26-year-old Anthony J. Mabie of Springfield, was walking home after drinking at the tavern with Dunbar, Ladage and Hoke. On his way, he was struck by their three pickup trucks.
Officers say Ladage then returned to Bootleggers and Moriconi allowed him to hide in the basement.
