Fire's Rolfe to transfer to Danish club in January

The Fire announced Thursday that forward/midfielder Chris Rolfe will move to Danish club Aalborg on a free transfer in January.

Rolfe, 26, was drafted by the Fire out of the University of Dayton in 2005. He has 35 goals for the Fire, second in team history, to go with 17 assists.

Rolfe's announcement follows by two weeks the transfer of defender Bakary Soumare to French Ligue 1 team Boulogne.
