Dad faces charges after child found alone

A Naperville father has been charged with child endangerment after leaving his 7-year-old son home alone for several hours, police said.

Rynad Mangushev, of the 2700 block of Flagstone Circle, was arrested Saturday afternoon after neighbors found his son wandering around the neighborhood at approximately 12:20 p.m., Naperville police Sgt. Brad Marsh said.

The boy said he was hungry and looking for his father.

Mangushev, who is free on bail, has a Sept. 25 court date in DuPage County circuit court.

Marsh said the Department of Children and Family Services is also investigating the incident.
