Court delayed for Libertyville therapist charged with sex assault
A bond review for a Libertyville therapist accused of having sex with a 14-year-old client was delayed Tuesday in Lake County circuit court.
Cori Lynn Rivelli, 27, is charged with criminal sexual assault for allegedly having sex with a boy under her care at Kids Hope United in Lake Villa.
Rivelli, who faces a mandatory prison sentence of between four and 15 years if convicted, is currently being held on $200,000 bond. A hearing on the request of her attorney, Douglas Roberts of Waukegan, to lower that bond was set for Tuesday, but Rivelli declined to answer questions about her background for a probation officer preparing a report for the court.
The hearing was reset for Thursday after Roberts advised her to cooperate with the probation officer.
