Kirk needs to be taught a lesson
Mark Kirk is asking for our support in his run for the Senate. I am a conservative, who has always supported Mark. While I have from time to time been disappointed in some of his pandering to the North Shore liberals, he has basically been a good representative.
His vote in favor of the largest tax increase legislation in the history of taxation, Cap and Trade, is unpardonable. His excuse for this symbolic spit in the eye of his base constituents was, I'll paraphrase, "it won't make it out of the Senate so my vote won't matter."
He couldn't admit he voted for it in an attempt to lure part of the mindless mass of Obama followers to vote for him in his Senate race.
When sizing up a politician one has to attempt to divine whether they are projecting a carefully crafted veneer or if they are truly honest to their core. In the case of Kirk it has become apparent to me that what he projects is only skin deep. Mark Kirk is not a thoughtful leader doing what he thinks is right for our country. He is a vote-pandering weasel, doing whatever it takes to win his next election. That is exactly the kind of politician we don't need. Join me in voting for anybody but Kirk.
