Lake County briefs
Booth honors ex-teacher:
The new ticket booth at Libertyville High School's football stadium has been dedicated in honor of former math teacher Irene Werner. Werner, who retired in 1998 and died in 2006, supported the school's athletic programs and often sold game tickets, Libertyville-Vernon Hills Area High School District 128 officials said in a news release. A donation from her family paid for the booth's construction.
